SMUD is a community-owned utility serving the Sacramento region. They are expanding programs to help homeowners save money, support the grid, and build a cleaner, more reliable future.

We encourage every homeowner to confirm the program, the incentives, and the terms straight from the source before making any decision.

We're an independent solar and battery company, and we help homeowners find the right system and take advantage of every rebate they qualify for. To be clear about how it works: we're not part of SMUD and don't administer their programs. The rebates and incentives come to you directly from SMUD, based on their eligibility rules — and we help you navigate the whole process.

More control over your energy future

Beyond the incentives, homeowners across SMUD territory are choosing batteries for everyday peace of mind.

Keep essential systems running when the grid goes down.

Energy Independence

Rely more on power you generate and store, less on the grid.

Incentive Opportunities

Explore utility incentive programs you may be eligible for.

Rate Protection

Add a buffer against future electricity rate increases.

Cost Control

More visibility and control over how and when you use energy.

Built For Your Home

Solutions sized to your roof, usage, and goals — not a template.

My Energy Optimizer Partner+

How the program works

When you enroll a qualifying home battery in My Energy Optimizer Partner+, SMUD can call on a portion of your stored energy during peak demand. In return, eligible homeowners receive an enrollment incentive and ongoing payments — and you keep a reserve for your own backup needs.

Eligibility, availability, and incentive amounts vary and are determined by SMUD through program requirements and project review.
